Ms. Hunt is the managing partner of J&A Auditing Services, LLC. She is a Certified Public Accountant, Certified Information Systems Auditor, Certified Fraud Examiner, and holds an active Department of Energy Q-level security clearance. She received her B.B.A. Degree in Accounting from the University of Oklahoma, graduating with Academic Distinction.
Ms. Hunt possesses 15 years of DOE M&O contractor internal auditing experience and has conducted numerous allowable cost audits over the years. She has prepared annual reports, annual audit schedules, and has conducted audits in the areas of subcontracts, medical claims, materials management, equipment acquisition, shipping, cost accounting standards, budget, software licensing, etc. She has routinely made presentations to M&O, OIG, OFFM, and DOE senior leadership.
Ms. Hunt prepared a submission for the Commitment to Excellence Award in collaboration with the Quality organization. The Company received this award in recognition of its internal controls program. In addition, she developed exception notification and follow-up processes recognized as best business practices by the Contractor Internal Audit Directors community. Her audit group was recognized by senior management, Office of Inspector General, Office of Federal Financial Management, and NNSA for the quality of work, audit reports, and management communications.
Prior to Internal Audit, Ms. Hunt worked for three years in public accounting and five years in a DOE M&O CFO organization as a staff accountant and financial analyst. This experience has given her a strong financial background, especially in the DOE M&O arena.
